News in previous versions of MultiMailer

 
Below you find a list of new features that have been added to previous versions of SamLogic MultiMailer:

 

News in SamLogic MultiMailer 2006 (all versions):

  • E-mail addresses and contact information can now be imported directly from Microsoft Excel sheets via an easy-to-use user interface.

  • HTML messages are analyzed before they are sent and the MultiMailer warns if bad HTML tags are found in the message.

  • The support for network has been improved. Data files can be shared with other MultiMailer clients over a network.

  • The newsletter wizard has been extended with more functions; for example it is now possible to specify inner margins in a HTML document.

  • Improved exclusion list / unsubscribe handling. Now it is possible to block a whole domain from receiving any more e-mails.

  • Now it is possible to have pictures included and files attached in the same e-mail. Before you had to store the pictures on a server if you wanted to attach files, but now can the pictures exist directly in the e-mail.  

  • The text file import has been improved. A new user interface makes it very easy to import data now.

  • The duplicate selection function has been improved. Now one item in every found group can be left unselected so you can delete the extra duplicates very easy.

  • The Category and Sub category fields can now also be used in e-mails as insertable data fields.

  • You can now choose which fields (columns) to show in a mailing list.

  • Improved statistics and log functions.

 

News in SamLogic MultiMailer 2006 / Professional:

  • Newsletters can be published (uploaded) automatically on the Internet.

  • Data can be imported from other databases (such as Oracle, MySQL etc) using ODBC.

  • E-mail bounces can now be downloaded directly from a POP3 server to MultiMailer.

  • The import from Microsoft Outlook has been improved. Now it is also possible to import distribution lists from Outlook.

  • Support for Microsoft Exchange has been added. If you use Microsoft Exchange as a e-mail server in your network, the professional version of MultiMailer now supports it.

  • It is now possible to import other MultiMailer mailing lists. This allows yo to concatenate two mailing lists to one list or import older mailing lists in an easy way.

  • Five new time based insertable fields have been added: Year, Month, Day, Dayofweek and Week. The last one (Week) gives the current week number.

 

News in SamLogic MultiMailer 2005 (all versions):

  • Impressive newsletters and HTML messages can now be created easy by using a newsletter wizard.

  • More than one file can now be attached with an e-mail. Up to 8 attachments / e-mail can be used.

  • Columns, headers, background pictures etc can now be included easy in an e-mail.

  • Now its is very easy to create hyperlinks with underlined text that opens the users e-mail client or his/her web browser.

  • A function to resend e-mails to e-mail addresses with temporary errors has been added.

  • MultiMailer now estimates when the mailing distribution process is finished (all e-mails have been send out) and shows the estimated time in the program window.

  • Data can now be imported directly from Microsoft Excel.

  • Improved Export. Now you can choose to export only selected contacts or all contacts.

  • More data fields have been added. For example sub category, senders name and senders e-mail address.

  • Improved statistics functions.

  • Improved handling of exclusion lists. It is now more easy to add e-mail addresses to the exclusion lists.

 

News in SamLogic MultiMailer 2005 / Professional:

  • E-mail bounces can now be handled.

  • Contact information (e-mail addresses, names, phone numbers etc) can now be imported directly from Microsoft Outlook.

  • You can use different sender information profiles (e-mail address, name etc) and quickly switch between them.

  • You can now set your own names for the user fields in MultiMailer.

  • Global replacement words can be used for contacts that don't have names (e.g "Dear Customer").

  • The Professional version of MultiMailer has a fast import function optimized for import of a large number of contacts. The duplicate handling system is also much faster than in the Standard version.

  • An exclusion list designed for handling invalid e-mail addresses is included.

  • SamLogic MultiMailer 2005 / Professional can handle up to 100,000 contacts in every mailing list.

 

News in SamLogic MultiMailer 2004:

  • Now can an HTML message contain up to 40 images. The older version had a limit of 20 images.

  • Some mail client program can’t show symbols and special characters without standardized additional fields for the message headers, defined in a so called MIME standard. The new MultiMailer 2004 now create message headers using this standard.   

  • A new Region data field has been added to the database in MultiMailer.

  • There is now a pause function implemented in the program. The purpose is to stop overload of mail servers as much as possible. You can specify the amount of e-mail messages to be sent at each time and how long break there is between each period. More information >>.

  • Timeouts are handled to avoid hold up to other e-mail messages. If a problem is encountered MultiMailer is standing by for 60 seconds before interrupting the wait state and continuing with the next mail. All interruptions are shown in the status window and in a log file.

  • Improved Import function. MultiMailer doesn’t import doublets to your mailing list and contacts that have no valid e-mail address are also skipped during the import. This function is optional and easy to turn on/off.

  • MultiMailer can now import files from the UNIX environment.

  • For those who need, MultiMailer can create a tab separated log file which could be imported directly in to your database. Customer number and other new fields can also be stored in these log files.

  • MultiMailer has a new user interface and you can also choose your own favourite appearance now.
