A default folder name and folder path is shown, but the user can usually change the folder name and the folder path, and enter his\/her own.<\/p>\n<p>But there are situations when the folder name and folder path must stay unchanged, but the user should have the possibility to change the drive letter.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.samlogic.net\/pad\/icons\/visual_installer.gif\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\">In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samlogic.net\/visual-installer\/visual-installer.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Visual Installer<\/a> we have a special setup dialog box that is designed for this purpose. You can include this dialog box in your installation by checking the <strong>Drive<\/strong> option in the <strong>Dialog boxes<\/strong> tab in the Visual Installer editor.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.samlogic.net\/blog\/images\/product-visual-installer\/vi-editor-tab-dialogboxes--destination.png\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" vspace=\"1\"><\/p>\n<p>If you check this option, the following setup dialog box will be shown in the installation:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.samlogic.net\/blog\/images\/product-visual-installer\/vi-dialogbox-destination-folder.png\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" vspace=\"1\"><\/p>\n<p>In this dialog box the end-user can change the drive letter, but not the folder path. The folder path is shown for the end-user, but it is a read-only field.
