It is also possible to show a document (for example a PDF document) after the installation, and below we will describe how to do that.<\/p>\n<p>In the tip below we assume that you want to give the user an opportunity to open a PDF document with the name <em>ReadMe.pdf<\/em>. Reading the document is optional, but if the user want to read it, it will be opened when the user closes the last installation dialog box in the setup wizard. Below are the tip steps:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> Select the document file in the installation project&#8217;s file list (<em>ReadMe.pdf<\/em> in our case).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.samlogic.net\/blog\/images\/product-visual-installer\/vi-show-document-after-1.png\" alt=\"File list\" width=\"693\" height=\"74\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> Right click over the selection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Choose the <strong>Show this document after installation<\/strong> menu item in the local menu that appear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.<\/strong> The dialog box below is now shown:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.samlogic.net\/blog\/images\/product-visual-installer\/vi-show-document-after-3-b.png\" alt=\"Show document after installation\" width=\"498\" height=\"397\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>5.<\/strong> Confirm that the file path (at <strong>Document<\/strong>) is ok. <\/p>\n<p><strong>6.<\/strong> Select the <strong>Show check box in the &#8216;Installation completed&#8217; dialog box<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.<\/strong> Check that the text at <strong>Check box text<\/strong> is ok.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8.<\/strong> Click on <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>When your user run the installation, there will be a check box in the last installation dialog box, where the user can decide if he\/she wants to read the document or not.
