November 2014 we uploaded a major update of Visual
Installer 2014. Some new features in the new version
• A German language file is now included
• New script commands for uninstallation of files
• Improved error handling for code signing functions
• Improved support for .DEP files
• Easier to install side-by-side files
In January 2015 we uploaded a minor update of Visual
Installer 2014, with improved support for installation
of 64 bit applications.

HOW TO INSTALL A WINDOWS SERVICE
With Visual Installers scripting language it is possible
to install and uninstall a Windows service. A Windows
service can be installed with different methods, and in
this tip we show three methods to install and uninstall
a Windows service using Visual Installer:

LANGUAGE FILE IN VISUAL INSTALLER
In the latest update of Visual Installer 2014 we have included a German language file. So you
can now use German text in your setup packages in an
easy way. You can for example create setup dialog boxes
with German text, like in the example below:
Information and error message can also be in the
German language. More information is available in this

HOW DO I CHANGE LANGUAGE IN VISUAL INSTALLER?
default language for setup dialog boxes, information
messages and error messages in Visual Installer is
English, but you can use another language if you want.
