SamLogic Visual Installer 2010 is an easy-to-use setup tool for creating installation programs that will be distributed via a CD, DVD, USB flash drive or the Internet. No programming knowledge is required and you can create your installation program visually. Visual Installer 2010 can create installation programs for all Windows versions, from Windows 95 to the latest Windows 7. Both 32 and 64 bit Windows are fully supported.

Self-extracting installation via the Internet
SamLogic Visual Installer 2010 can create a single self-extracting EXE file for distribution via the Internet. When the user clicks on the setup file the installation starts automatically. This is perfect for e.g. demos and updates that are distributed via the Internet!

CD, DVD and USB flash drive
Whether you need to distribute your programs or documents via a CD, DVD or USB flash drive, SamLogic Visual Installer 2010 is the right tool for you. You can choose whether the files should be distributed with compression or not. When files are compressed the effective ZIP technology is used. A setup program placed on a CD or DVD can be made to start automatically. The Windows Autorun technology is then used to start the installation on the disc.

Striking setup screens can be created
With SamLogic Visual Installer 2010, you can create stylish and impressive setup screens that are shown in the background during the installation. On a setup screen you can place images, text, documents, a progress gauge, and more. Even sound and music can be played during the installation. But you can also create setup programs without a setup screen in the background and give your installation a more standardized look. Read more here.

Ready-to-use setup dialog boxes includedReady-to-use setup dialog boxes included
There are many built-in ready-to-use setup dialog boxes included in Visual Installer and you can easily select those you want to use for your installation. For example, there are dialog boxes for choosing destination folder, drive, program menu, file components, password, license key, license text etc. Dialog box pictures with different visual themes are included but you can also use your own pictures for the setup dialog boxes.

Support for multiple languages
Any language can be used for the text in the dialog boxes and information messages in the installation program. So you can produce installers that can be used worldwide. The texts are stored in separate language files and you can easily change the text to your preferred language.

Intelligent management of updates
SamLogic Visual Installer 2010 can detect if a previous version of a program is installed and automatically update the older files without having to ask the user for the folder where the program is installed. If the user does not have a previous version of the program installed on his/her computer a normal installation will be done.

Can import Visual Basic project files
SamLogic Visual Installer 2010 can import a project file created with Microsoft Visual Basic (Visual Basic 6.0 and Visual Basic 2002 to 2008) and create an installation project based on that. So you do not need to add your Visual Basic files manually to a Visual Installer project, Visual Installer will do the job!

Standard and Professional

SamLogic Visual Installer 2010 comes in two versions: Standard and Professional. The Professional version includes a project manager, a scripting language that can be used for advanced installations, flexible management of shortcuts and the system utility program SamLogic Selector
